| John majored in art at the University of Evansville and Indiana Uuniversity, then participated in the "summer of love" in Haight Ashbury. He lived in Denver from 1970 until is death from cancer October 18, 2003. From the time he left college he worked as a free lance commercial artist, fine artist, and musician, leading a variety of bluegrass and rock bands. His abundant creativity and outrageous sense of humor were often expressed in cartoons, essays and songs. He was married to Terri (Burkhart) Fish from 1972 until 1980, and they remained friends for life. No children. |
